– based in Norwich or Edinburgh with occasional travel Full Time, Permanent Salary – dependent on skills and experience Wanted – an experienced Spatial Designer/Technical Detailer to work alongside our exceptional team of talented spatial designers. The role As we continue to deliver exceptional live event experiences, exhibitions, and interior installations for our clients, we are looking to add to our Sport team which is based in both the Edinburgh and Norwich offices. You will work as part of the Sport Spatial Design team providing professional and creative input into the design of all spatial design drawings from concept to manufacture. You will have experience of supporting client briefs and creating visuals and creative sketches. The focus of the role will be to provide technical expertise with respect to detailed and accurate scaled floor plans and component drawings ideally using Vectorworks, Artlantis, and Unreal Engine software for visuals. The successful candidate will be a technically competent Spatial designer who has an excellent understanding of creating design environments and spaces that exceed client briefs. The individual should have some experience of providing detailed manufacturing drawings either through Vectorworks or some other CAD software. You will have experience of working alongside manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are kept up to date, meet the brief, and translate seamlessly through to manufacture. Ideally, we would be interested in individuals who have some prior experience of the corporate event/installation/exhibition industry. The person Experienced spatial designer ideally with some prior experience of corporate event/installation/exhibition design knowledge Skilled in Vectorworks or equivalent CAD package Experience of creating scaled technical drawings for floorplans, component manufacturing elements for installations/exhibitions/furniture etc. Unreal Engine software skills would be desirable Experience of creating and producing rendered visuals and “fly throughs” Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe creative suite Experience of communicating directly with clients on creative projects Comfortable under pressure and working to deadlines Good working knowledge of health and safety relating to spatial design and exhibition work A flexible self-starter with plenty of initiative A genuine interest in creative engagement, live & virtual events, and exhibitions As part of your application, please provide some recent examples of your work (either via a link to a portfolio or a PDF document) where possible.
