Purpose of the role: As a Sub Agent, you will assist the Site Agent and Project Manager on larger value schemes, to achieve the required project delivery to the customer's objectives while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

What you will be doing:

Site engineering Establish the level and survey control for contracts. Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis. Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time. Assist in the production of ITPs and Task Briefings. Assist in the production of 3 week look ahead programmes in conjunction with the Senior Engineer and Sub Agent. Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required. Undertake material reconciliations. Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated. Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings. Produce 2D and 3D site sketches. Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records. Assist in basic planning, monitoring and programming. Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required. Control and minimise waste on site. Identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques and innovations on site. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.

Health, safety & environment: Promote the company rules and establish safe working cultures and practices. Comply with company procedures and legal obligations. Promote and comply with environmental compliance. Deliver the works safely.

Quality: Promote best practice. Comply with company procedures. Ensure work is delivered defect/snag-free. Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.

Key measures & targets: Accurate and timely setting out of the works. Timely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defects. Production of accurate records, drawing registers and weekly diaries.
