Purpose of the Role Xodus is looking for a candidate who will lead our Wind Resource and Energy Yield Analysis capability. You will be a motivated and energised individual who is well-connected with a well-developed network of contacts with experience in complex EYA and Project Developments such as Early Stage Development through to Leasing and Technical Due Diligence. In a position of responsibility and influence right from the start, you will be based in the UK, ideally in London, Aberdeen, Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, where hybrid working and other working patterns can be accommodated. The Wind Resource and Energy Yield Analysis capability at Xodus was established three years ago. Since launching early in 2020, we have been working with various clients, both onshore and offshore. Our work is varied and includes standalone EYA assessments as well as providing Wind Analysis / Energy Yield support for larger early stage projects run by the wider Group. Ultimately, we bring together talented and motivated people who understand the bigger picture by making energy solutions technically, economically, ethically, and environmentally sustainable. We are looking for someone to take this offering even wider, to offer more to clients, and to an even wider client base.

Requirements Do you have some of the following? You will sit within our Renewables Project Development Team, working closely with our clients to understand their requirements and needs in order to provide best quality and value work. You will discuss work scopes and provide proposals to clients, and ultimately carry out and manage wind resource and energy yield analyses at various stages of project developments. Some scopes will be standalone energy yield assessments, but we expect your broader technical and industry competency and interest to mean you will get involved in our wider early stage development activities such as site identification, leasing, Clients bid support and Technical Due Diligence. Focusing on the EMEA Region, you will also provide expert wind analysis and energy yield modelling support to our international Renewables offering, particularly in APAC and the US. As well as Technical Leadership and expertise, the role includes Business Development, Proposal Development and Line Management of team members: ensuring they are developing a strong pipeline of projects, ensuring that development opportunities are identified and that the Team are able to do their best work. There will be engagement and collaboration within the wider Xodus Group on workload, technical work and resource management. You will also drive the continuous improvement of EYA tools and methods, collaborating with the relevant Technical Authority and our Digital and Data team.

Qualifications, Skills & Behaviours In-depth knowledge of both fixed and floating offshore wind farm development processes Expert understanding of complex wind / energy yield data analytics Experienced in business development, opportunity identification and winning work with new / existing clients Experience in Project Development and Energy Yield Technical Due Diligence Experience in detailed QA and full approval of appropriate methodologies Experience in developing proposals independently and in collaboration with other disciplines Creative problem solving skills and attention to detail Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability to develop detailed Cost, Time and Resources and manage project budgets effectively Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a Numerical Discipline Other Qualifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Scientist (CSci), Project Management Professional (APM / PMI), or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) could be advantageous Spoken and written proficiency in English language, with an additional regional language being advantageous

Required Skills: Demonstrable extensive experience in wind resource and energy yield assessments Experience with "customer facing" BD, identifying opportunities, building a "pipeline" and winning work Experience leading a team, training and mentoring junior team members Confidence to develop methodology and shape the skills and development of the team Ability to approve complex work, project manage and maintain budgets Proven ability in maintaining high standards across all deliverables Experience in typical industry analysis packages (Windographer, WAsP, OpenWind, WindFarmer, WindPro BoxKite) as well as in developing tools from scratch Proficiency using MS Excel / Other software for calculations Fluency in other standard MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint) Awareness of the emerging new drivers, methods, technologies, and trends, and the ability to implement them where possible Excellent understanding of current best industry practice on remote and physical sensing, various wind flow modelling techniques, energy loss modelling, and site conditions assessment. Experience with advanced data analytics and machine learning applications in wind energy Experience in the Assessment of both Fixed Bottom and Floating Offshore Wind Projects would be a strong advantage Ability to see the bigger picture, identify potential issues, and take the initiative to create solutions
