Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

to join our client based in Chesterfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining precision machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth operations within their facility. Machinery includes CNC & Manual Lathes, Deep Hole Borers & CNC Millers.

Description As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked with the following: Conduct routine maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership. Utilize logic controllers to diagnose and rectify faults. Demonstrate proficiency in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge. Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with internal teams. Perform welding tasks to repair equipment as needed.

Profile A successful Maintenance Engineer should have: Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry. Excellent problem-solving skills. A meticulous eye for detail. The ability to work well in a team. Proficiency in utilizing various tools and equipment. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Good communication skills.

Job Offer A competitive salary of £38,000 - £47,000 per year, company pension, free parking, life insurance, on-site parking, profit sharing, 10-hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends, overtime, a supportive team environment in the Engineering & Manufacturing department, and an opportunity to work in the bustling industrial and manufacturing industry.
