The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer to work for a well-established manufacturer based in Burton on Trent. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of controls & systems based projects, whilst maintaining and developing a positive attitude towards costs, quality, and health and safety.
The Role:
Lead continuous improvement projects within the engineering team. Offer technical support to the wider team. Troubleshoot controls & networking issues. Highlight and offer long-term solutions to system faults. Understand and work with other teams (Quality / R&D / HSE / IT) to ensure the systems are running to their optimal levels.
The Control Systems Engineer: A relevant qualification to HNC level, as a minimum, such as control systems engineering. GCSE Maths & English - Grade C or above. Strong working knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens S7 - fault finding & programming. Extensive SCADA knowledge and how it interfaces with other software applications. Comfortable with a varying workload & environment - from on the factory floor, working directly with systems, and in the office creating new designs / writing software.
