Quantity Surveyor - Lyminge - Rail - up to £65k + Package
Are you contractually / commercially astute and interested in growing your career with a specialist international contractor in the Rail Industry?
Our client is a specialist division of a £2bn turnover contractor who perform a wide range of electrical works within the rail industry. This incorporates the installation and replacement of conductor rails, station based re-wires, signalling, EV charging and specialist lighting with projects ranging from £5k up to £2m in value.
This part of the group has always worked directly for Network Rail and has been expanding into working for contractors and JV's providing specialist services as well. They are looking to add to their existing commercial team with someone who is used to working closely with contracts, familiar with commercial reporting on a month to month basis (for multiple schemes ideally) and someone who has helped mentor or develop a more junior member of staff.
Due to the specialist nature of their work, they do not expect someone to come from a like for like background and could be an ideal training ground for someone looking to get into the rail industry.
This is primarily an office-based role with occasional site visits and one day a week available to work from home. You will be working closely with the site Project Managers to capture change and to advise on contractual risks as well as working with the commercial team for financial reporting of multiple projects simultaneously.
They are open to level of experience (anywhere between 2 to 10 years) so the salary banding is quite broad (up to £65k), plus company car or allowance, 26 days holiday with the option to buy more, generous pension and much more.
