Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of doors and windows across the UK.

Main Purpose of Role: To maximise the sales and profit of the depot to agreed targets, whilst providing service excellence to the customer base.

Supplemental pay types: Bonus scheme - OTE £37k per annum minimum

Work Location: One location - Depot Manager - York

Responsibilities: Ensure that the depot is opened on time and is always staffed during the agreed hours of business. All orders and quotes are to be processed accurately and in a timely manner. All goods received are to be checked, signed for and the relevant paperwork filed as per operational procedures. Any shortages/issues are to be reported immediately. Provide excellent customer services and maintain a good working relationship with all customers and colleagues, supported by the Area Sales Manager. Deal with all customer complaints and queries in a timely manner and report to the relevant departments as per operational procedures. Exceed individual sales and profit targets with the assistance of the Area Sales Managers. Control debtors - ensuring all existing customers keep within their agreed payment terms. Conduct weekly Debtors meetings with the Accounts Department/Operational Manager. Complete and submit all weekly and monthly reporting correctly and on time. Review the profitability of the depot and ensure all expenditure is within the Depot Budget. Ensure all goods delivered or collected are handled as per company procedures, with dispatch notes signed for by each customer. Support the Operational Manager in ensuring that all drivers/assistants fulfil their roles and responsibilities. Maintain good housekeeping standards, keeping both office and storage spaces clean and organised. Ensure all company vehicles associated with the branch are regularly maintained and kept in a clean condition. Support Area Sales Managers in advertising, canvassing and mail shots to attract new customers as per the Sales and Marketing plan.

Skills & Knowledge: Attention to detail and accuracy Safe and responsible driver with own licence Good basic written skills Ability to learn and develop Organised approach Customer focused Basic financial and numeracy skills for checking orders Manual Handling Basic product knowledge of core product range (e.g., bi-fold door vs patio) Basic IT skills (e.g., email, Excel, data entry)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
