Focus 5 Recruitment are working with an exciting software business who have just been awarded 2 large contracts with international Mobile Network Operators. Appointed to help them source an Information Security and Quality Assurance Manager, we're looking for candidates who will be responsible for guiding our client to ISO and SOC accreditation and lead on information security practices and quality assurance management.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a growing and ambitious software business who have contracts with some of the world's leading mobile network companies. They are looking for candidates who can come in at a key point in their growth and develop their career as they grow. Although they are not a processor or owner of customer data, they do assist their clients' customers with sensitive information.

Requirements for the Information Security and Quality Assurance Manager role

Manage their IT and other risk management policies (including e.g. physical security, data classification, retention and backup), adopting a pragmatic mindset that balances the need to identify, manage and escalate risk with their ambitious commercial objectives. Security Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and growth. Policy Development: Establish and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect the company's data and infrastructure. Risk Management: Identify and assess security risks and implement mitigation strategies to manage and reduce risk to an acceptable level. Security Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the information security function, including monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements related to information security and data protection. Technology Management: Manage and maintain security tools and technology and evaluate new solutions to enhance the security posture. Collaborate with their Engineering and Product teams to put security and data protection at the forefront of how they design, build and maintain their products to stay in line with industry best practices and evolving customer expectations. Lead efforts to upskill commercial-facing teams on specialist subject matter to ensure all our people understand and can communicate our posture to external parties effectively. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions, and continuously improve the security program. Work closely with senior leaders to further embed security and the appropriate evaluation of risk as part of the company's DNA.

Experience required for the Information Security and Quality Assurance Manager role

Prior experience in Information Security leadership roles, with a focus on aligning to industry frameworks (ISO27001/NIST). Proven experience of implementing policies and processes that are pragmatic and evolve with business needs. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A culture of continuous learning backed up with professional security management certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM). Experience with security operations, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and endpoint protection. Familiarity with cloud security, especially in AWS or Azure environments. Hands-on experience building credibility with external stakeholders, including enterprise clients, critical system vendors, certification auditors and regulatory bodies. Proven experience shepherding a B2B SaaS product with the potential to capture special category data through enterprise-grade vendor assessment exercises and data processing-related legal negotiations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain sometimes complex concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
