Bennett and Game has the pleasure of working with a top 100 Accountancy Practice located in Derby, who are now seeking a Senior Accountant to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. The firm are offering a competitive starting salary along with an excellent benefits scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a growing, forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements for clients, bookkeeping, guiding and advising trainee and junior members of staff and dealing with client queries.
Accounts Senior Job Overview Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for manager review. Undertake regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary. Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments. Guiding and advising trainee / junior staff in the department, delegate work where necessary and suggest work that other member of the team can undertake. Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to 'progress manage' their own assignments. May be required to travel to clients' premises for meetings or other work. Some overtime is required from time to time.
