Seeking an experienced professional in structural design for aircraft, specializing in airframe development. Requires a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Experience with advanced aerial vehicle design, build, and testing is a significant advantage.

Role Description:

Work on the design and development of airframe structures for an advanced aerial vehicle prototype. Provide comprehensive design services, including the preparation of composite and metallic structural definitions for details and assemblies. Deliver design and design-checking expertise on a project basis, ensuring weekly deliverables align with engineering standards. Contribute to creating model-based definitions within a 3D digital mock-up environment. Collaborate with systems integration teams to maintain compatibility and ensure structural designs accommodate system routing needs. Hybrid work arrangements are available, though occasional physical attendance for critical meetings and reviews at client sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and refine design solutions for new and modified components (composite and metallic) with consideration for cost, weight, manufacturability, serviceability, and performance. Provide evidence of compliance with technical and customer specifications. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and data required for manufacturing and customer submissions. Support manufacturing and certification processes by producing engineering change notices (ECNs) as needed. Ensure high-quality deliverables, meeting both internal and customer expectations.

Essential Skills:

Extensive experience in structural design for aerospace applications, particularly in airframe development (metallic and composite structures). Strong knowledge of aero structures, including wings, fuselage, and empennage. Proficiency in 3D design and analysis tools (eg, CATIA V5). Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis. Familiarity with composite and metallic materials and their manufacturing processes. Customer-focused, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Dassault 3D Experience. Proficiency in PLM systems such as Windchill.
