Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a large logistics and supply chain company based in Doncaster who are looking for a nights transport planner to join their team on a 4on and 4 off basis.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing business with huge potential to progress. Responsibilities:

Ensure the successful supervision and communication of work allocation at the site, making any necessary changes with Service and Cost at the forefront. Assist the central transport team with contract-wide operational matters as required by management and deal appropriately with ad-hoc transport requests or issues received. Work with management and the transport team to ensure that any service delivery concerns or failures are identified and addressed as most appropriate. Understand customer operational requirements and ensure that the correct procedures are followed at the site to meet these, exceeding expectations wherever possible. Work with management to ensure the site needs are consistently met by the central transport management team. Engage with the customers as appropriate and as required by management to ensure maximum operational satisfaction and performance. Ensure consistently effective communication with management and the transport team in all matters, to promote a successful operation. Ensure correct PDA use by reporting drivers, including status reporting and signature capture reporting. Ensure the successful management of driver daily workflow and the daily driver debrief process. Ensure correct maintenance of operational reports as required by management. Ensure that all transport documentation is managed and stored in an accurate, orderly and legally compliant manner. Assist in the successful control of vehicle maintenance and service requirements, ensuring a consistently road-worthy fleet. Seek to understand and address day-to-day operational concerns within the driver fleet and transport team wherever possible to encourage a satisfied and operationally-sound workforce. Maintain an excellent working knowledge of all legislation that is relevant to the transport industry and work in accordance with this. Understand the Operating License obligations and work with management to ensure that these are met. Highlight any concerns in this regard to management without delay. Understand and consistently promote Company policy and procedure including that relating to health and safety. Work on ad-hoc and contract specific projects as required by management. Skills Required:

Experience in a similar role within the logistics or fleet management industry. The ability to make decisions having flexibility and an ability to think “outside the box” ensuring service excellence is delivered across the entire logistics fleet for all out of hour work. Resilient, process-driven, self-starter who can work under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work thoroughly, methodically with an excellent attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as key stakeholders across the group. Natural ability and enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships. Excel in a team environment as well as being able to work autonomously when required. Flexible, adaptable, and open-minded and respond well to the ever-changing priorities and challenges while remaining calm and focused on getting the job done. Working 4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am Salary: £30k-£35k dependant on experience
