Job Title - Associate Project Manager (IT)
Location - Poole, Dorset
Salary - Circa £40k
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to support the Head of PMO in building a first-class capability to deliver projects and programmes that have been identified as core elements of our client’s growth strategy, to time, cost and quality.
As part of the role, you will report on project requirements, delivery timelines, and costs for new projects. After launch, you will track and manage projects and activities across the business, ensuring all internal stakeholders are engaged to enable delivery of projects on time and on budget.
In addition, you will create and manage project documentation including plans, progress reports, risk process outputs, and effective action logs. When required, complete interim project performance analysis and post-project review summaries, including benefits analysis and continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Change management & Passport process Create project plans for activities and milestones and manage task completion schedule Cost reporting, analysis, and project budget management Stakeholder analysis & RACI Risk management process & RAID reporting Complete interim project performance analysis and post-project review summaries Benefits analysis and identify continuous improvement opportunities Support presentations to management or customers Supporting the project delivery process from end to end Clearly identifying and communicating technical, project, and commercial risks Act with integrity and within the company guidelines and policies, promoting a positive can-do culture
Experience and Qualifications
2 yrs Experience of project management Experience of change management processes Problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Experience of team management skills and negotiation of task priorities IT knowledge and familiar with Software Development methods Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, Office 365 Jira & Salesforce skills are desirable Knowledge of Lean methodologies and processes are desirable Cybersecurity awareness Demonstrable knowledge and capability working within SaaS
General Experience and Knowledge
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business documentation, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to create project documentation, plans, progress reports, RAID summaries, cost breakdowns and analysis, and present this information and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders.
Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as scoring, fractions, percentages, ratios, and forecasting of project data.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve project problems and deal with a variety of project variables in situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, Microsoft Office, ERP's, and customer relationship management systems.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree BSc in Relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent education or technical aptitude and two years of experience in a project management or equivalent role.
