Portfolio Payroll are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull who is looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to join the rapidly growing finance team. This opportunity offers study support for candidates who are ACCA/CIMA/AAT studiers and pay up to £43,000.
Responsibilities: Producing financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries. Work with commercial colleagues to produce the budgets and forecasts for the contracts, monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPI's. Provide accurate and meaningful analysis to the Commercial Manager and supporting data to assist with key decision making at contract level, showing a thorough understanding of the contract. Own month-end, year-end, and budget process. Aid Product profitability reporting. Financial reporting packs providing flexibility and adaptability based on intelligent use of data. Create and maintain operational KPI reporting pack. Finance aid for any system implementations. Ad hoc tasks.
Experience and Qualifications: Qualified or Part-Qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA / AAT or equivalent). Accounting experience, ideally in a commercial finance role. Intermediate / advanced Excel, Power Point and Word. Problem solving and analytical skills. A continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes. Awareness of Financial Reporting Standards and other developments within global accounting practices and the ability to apply within the company.
