Job Description: The Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing bespoke structural steel products for the building and construction industries. You will engage in a variety of responsibilities, from liaising with clients and stakeholders to troubleshooting on-site challenges. Key Responsibilities: Design bespoke structural steel products using AutoCAD. Innovate and enhance systems and processes to improve efficiency. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and builders to identify site requirements. Produce production information and manage multiple design projects. Drive new product development, from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to regulations. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensure project success. Skills & Experience: Essential: Degree in engineering, design, or the built environment (or equivalent). Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 2D design tools. Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to solve complex challenges. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word. Desirable: Experience in Tekla software products. Familiarity with creating cutting profiles. 2+ years in design or manufacturing environments.
