are currently working with a market-leading company in the global manufacturing of tissue paper products, to recruit an Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer for their Lancaster facility on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

As a Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the paper-making machines and related equipment. Your key responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain optimal productivity within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to proactively identify and address potential issues. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment. Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components to restore equipment functionality. Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures, minimising downtime and ensuring rapid resolution. Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment histories. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (NVQ, Diploma, Degree). Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques. Familiarity with preventative maintenance software and maintenance management systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
