Health & Safety Resource Officer

Health and Safety Resource Officer Location: Hertfordshire Temporary for 3 months The Building Safety department of a distinguished organisation is actively seeking a Health and Safety Resource Officer on a temporary contract. The post holder will ensure that the organisation meets its statutory landlord compliance obligations in areas including gas safety, water safety, asbestos, electrical safety, fire safety, fire risk assessments, and Lift/LOLER requirements. Your duties will include: Ensuring that all properties remain compliant for the relevant compliance work streams including: Gas safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Electrical safety, Fire safety, Lift/LOLER, and detection. Processing invoices for the Building Safety Team applicable to the compliance stream allocated to this role. Ordering works and authorising contractor payments relevant to the allocated compliance stream for the role. Overseeing and/or carrying out a programme of post inspections (by phone or in person) to confirm identified works have been completed in line with suppliers’ contractual agreements. Ensuring that exposure to risk with Health and Safety is minimised. The successful candidate should have: An understanding of Housing compliance. It is desirable to be certified with IOSH or NEBOSH.
