Commercial Pricing Manager

to spearhead pricing strategy and governance. This critical role will ensure the development of pricing models and policies that align with Optibus' mission of transforming public transportation systems worldwide. Reporting into the Global VP of Revenue Operations, you will work closely with sales, finance, and customer-facing teams to optimize pricing strategies, drive revenue growth, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, while delivering value for both customers and the business. Key Responsibilities: Pricing Strategy Development:

Design and implement effective pricing models for Optibus’ SaaS solutions, considering customer needs, market trends, and business goals. Revenue Recognition Governance:

Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure all deals meet revenue recognition and compliance standards. Deal Structuring & Optimization:

Partner with the sales team to structure deals that balance customer value with business profitability, supporting complex contract negotiations as needed. Customer-Centric Policies:

Develop pricing frameworks that consider the unique operational and financial challenges of public transport agencies, ensuring affordability and value. Performance Monitoring:

Regularly assess the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, customer acquisition, and retention, and refine strategies accordingly. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with the product, finance, and marketing teams to align pricing with product features, marketing campaigns, and financial goals. Stakeholder Communication:

Provide insights and reporting to leadership on pricing strategy outcomes, forecasts, and opportunities for growth. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Proven experience in pricing strategy, SaaS or enterprise software pricing, and revenue management. Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and compliance frameworks. Expertise in data analytics and tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience working with public transportation agencies or a deep understanding of transit operations is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
