Develop and prepare annual budgets and operational overheads. Provide strategic long-term planning support to the MD to align with financial goals and objectives. Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee the company's day-to-day finances, including cash flow, debtors, creditors, overhead, and profit margin/EBITDA optimisation. Prepare monthly management accounts and draft profit and loss reports to submit to the group finance department. Commercial Business Support:
Assist in evaluating business opportunities, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Confidential Administrative Support:
Directly assist the MD with sensitive business matters, including correspondence, document preparation, and decision-making processes. Team Leadership & Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop the accounts finance team, ensuring high performance and growth. Person Specification: Accounting qualification - ideally ACA, ACCA, or CIMA - with previous experience in a finance manager/controller capacity. Proven experience working in an entrepreneurial business or one that has experienced rapid growth, testing financial structures. Technically strong accounting skills. Experience working with ERP systems. Advanced MS Excel skills. Personable and confident. Ability to self-motivate. Methodical and organised.
