When you're part of our team, you matter to us, and you matter to millions. About the role Your Main Responsibilities will be to: Manage development of individuals and the engagement of the team. Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence. Lead the development of detailed audit remits and protocols for all functional audits and define the audit arrangements to deliver the assurance strategy for the Functional Audit Programme. Lead the audit team in undertaking cross-functional audits as allocated under the Functional Audit Programme. Lead and direct the audit team in the delivery of the assurance strategy. Prepare and review audit reports on Management System Audits and Special Topic Audits. Lead the functional audit reviews and provide recommendations on findings. Manage the progression and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports within agreed timescales. Provide regular progress reports on functional audits, summarising regional and route trends and identifying the requirement for action plans. Champion good audit practice and identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Liaise with other Assurance teams on issues arising from audits. You will ideally have: Knowledge of maintenance or operations management, processes and techniques. Knowledge of the Health and Safety Management System. Lead Auditor qualified (IATCA / IRCA). Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills. What could set you apart: Good understanding of the railway industry.
