Applicants should have NHS practice knowledge and be adept at designing, developing, planning, and delivering a broad range of Digital Training programmes for our staff. We value teamwork, patient focused service, and effective working relationships.

This role involves supporting and training on IT and clinical systems such as Rio, Oxcare, eObs, and Emeds, for various staff groups including clinicians, nursing staff, and administrators. You'll work closely with Digital Transformation manager/team lead to redesign systems, processes, and training, ensuring milestones are met and risks managed.

Main duties of the job

Training Delivery:

Facilitate IT/clinical system application training for staff at all levels, using a blend of face-to-face sessions and modern multimedia formats, including remote training via Microsoft Teams.

Content Development:

Design and create engaging eLearning packages, training courses, and supporting materials such as videos and guides.

System Support:

Provide support on clinical and non-clinical IT systems through email, phone, and Help Desk inquiries.

System Updates:

Support system testing and maintain/update test scripts as systems evolve.

Knowledge Management:

Maintain team intranet pages and update training content regularly.

On-Site Support:

Assist with system upgrades by providing hands-on training and support.

Job responsibilities

Skills and Experience NHS experience and understanding of Primary, Secondary, and Community Care services. Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong planning and organisational skills, capable of managing tight deadlines and competing demands.

Responsibilities Provide group and individual IT training to staff of all grades, including those with specific needs. Deliver webinars on clinical and Trust systems. Create and maintain eLearning content and guidance for clinical processes. Provide on-site training support during system upgrades. Keep accurate training records and regularly update training content. Update Clinical Information System manuals and IT application guides. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Office 365 Suite. Develop engaging learning activities to enhance information retention and transfer. Maintain/Update test scripts. Assist with testing pre- and post-maintenance and configuration releases, writing test scripts as needed.

Essential Experience of working within the NHS

Desirable Experience using NHS systems (e.g., RiO, eMeds)

eLearning Development

Essential Awareness of eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate)

Training

Essential Experience in creating/delivering F2F/online training programmes

Digital System Testing

Desirable Experience in testing digital systems, including creating and executing test scripts.
