Simply put, we connect people with moments that matter. We have an exciting Airline Strategic Sales Director opportunity available in the EMEA region. The Strategic Sales Director will be responsible for the definition and execution of a business development plan for Sabre Airline IT products within an assigned territory in EMEA with the ultimate goal to exceed a given monetary target. This includes, in particular, operating in a pursuit leadership function to guide a team of solution managers, account managers, project and delivery experts to qualify a lead, define the appropriate solution offering, manage the internal financial approval process and proposal generation in a disciplined, well-documented manner. Key Accountabilities: As a key member of the EMEA Sales leadership team, reporting to the Regional General Manager, this individual will play a pivotal role in the future growth of the organization and will be responsible for: Leading complex portfolio pursuits from start to contract execution and owning all pursuit activities, including identifying the appropriate solutions, providing commercials, running negotiations, and finalizing agreements. Selling Sabre’s technology and data-driven solutions that help airlines grow their businesses and transform the traveler experience. Demonstrating an understanding of the airline’s business and market challenges, and articulating the company’s capabilities to address such challenges to progress opportunities that support the airline’s strategic direction. Coordinating with various functions within the airline to acquire a good understanding of customer needs to identify new sales opportunities. Building, developing, and maintaining positive strategic relationships with various airline stakeholders and across all levels, including C-Level. Obtaining internal alignment on all pursuits, including solution management, delivery, marketing, finance, legal, and the executive leadership team. Serving as a critical member and supporting the account team to continuously drive growth through customer engagement. Job Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of driving successful outcomes. Ability to handle multiple projects/activities simultaneously is essential. Intimate knowledge of the airline industry is a real plus. 10+ years of experience in sales and account management preferred. Experience in selling technology solutions; software and consulting. A thorough understanding of the sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to winning. Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization. Advanced computer software skills. Demonstrates these characteristics: Intellectual, Positive, Passionate, Engaging, Teamwork, Good work ethic. Detail-oriented. Ability to handle multiple opportunities is essential. Travel 50%. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
