You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, tax compliance across both personal and corporate tax, overseeing VAT, bookkeeping, and providing all-around support to the firm's directors. An opportunity to join a growing, small team based in Wellington with hands-on directors working with a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Clients vary in industry sector and turnover, from very small sole traders to limited companies with turnovers well into the millions. The firm provides a full range of general practice services, including year-end accounts, corporate and personal tax, VAT, management accounts/bookkeeping, and payroll services. They utilize IRIS for accounts production and encourage the use of SAGE, both desktop and cloud. Their clients also use various online software, including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and others.

As a Senior Accountant based in the firm's Wellington offices, you will be responsible for the preparation and review of year-end accounts, personal and corporate tax compliance, and oversight of wider services for clients across varied industries and turnover ranges. You will have increasing client management responsibilities and opportunities for career progression within a successful and growing firm of accountants.
Profile
You may be qualified or a part/finalist in any of AAT, ATT, ACA, or ACCA, or have developed your career through experience alone. A background in accounts/tax and general accountancy practice service delivery to a wide range of sole trader, partnership, and limited company clients is essential. You should have progressed to around the Senior Accountant level and be seeking a challenging new career opportunity.
Job Offer
