Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Renewable Energy Design, Sales, and Installation Engineer to design, promote, and oversee the installation of renewable energy systems. This role combines technical expertise, client interaction, and project execution to deliver high-quality heat pump, solar, and energy storage solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong communication skills, a passion for sustainability, and a track record of delivering renewable energy projects successfully. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with MCS standards. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy installations. Design renewable energy systems, including heat pump, solar, and energy storage solutions. Prepare specifications and system designs. Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and present technical solutions to clients. Provide technical guidance to customers during the sales process, addressing questions and concerns. Build strong client relationships by delivering tailored solutions that meet their needs. Assist in preparing budgets, estimates, and project timelines for customer proposals. Oversee or participate in the installation of renewable energy systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Work closely with installation teams to provide technical support and resolve on-site challenges. Perform system commissioning and quality assurance checks to ensure optimal performance. Work with the admin team to submit project documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and warranties. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations managers, to ensure seamless project execution. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in design and installation workflows. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in the design and installation of renewable energy systems (e.g. heat pumps, solar PV, and energy storage). Strong knowledge of renewable energy principles, system components, and industry standards. Familiarity with plumbing design, electrical wiring, system commissioning, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Certifications BPEC Heat Pump (required) and electrical qualifications (preferred). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Work Environment: Office and field-based work with travel to client sites for site assessments, installations, and inspections. Exposure to outdoor conditions and on-site construction environments.
