We have an exciting locum opportunity for a Recovery Worker Band 5 specialising in Substance Misuse in the lively town of Stockport, UK. Offering a competitive rate of £21 per hour, this position is full time with working hours from 09:00 to 17:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from 12:00 to 20:00 on Thursday. What you will do: Work within a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate recovery and abstinence-focused interventions for adults facing substance misuse challenges, with special emphasis on criminal justice interventions. Deliver harm reduction and health and well-being interventions to Stockport residents dealing with a range of substance misuse issues including alcohol, opiates, stimulants, steroids, over the counter, prescription, and emerging drugs. Offer prescription and care management interventions, aiming towards recovery and abstinence using an asset-based framework wherever possible. Provide clinical interventions aimed at sustaining recovery within an environment that inspires hope, empowerment, and choice.
