Outline Scope & Purpose of Role The Commercial Sales and Estimating Manager will be responsible for managing and leading a team of estimators and Business Development Managers, ensuring that projects align with company targets while maintaining accuracy and managing risks. This role is pivotal in securing new business, maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Lead and manage the Sales and Estimating Teams, providing training and support to enhance skills while identifying new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships to drive growth and repeat business. Collaborate with our internal Marketing Manager to improve visibility and client engagement and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality service. Have involvement in site surveys for refurbishment projects, ensuring accurate data collection for quotations that adhere to pricing structures and margins. Oversee the project pipeline, providing regular sales updates, and utilise CRM systems to track project data and client interactions. Evaluate and recommend software improvements to optimise team efficiency, support negotiations to convert quotes into orders, review contracts for alignment with company quotations, and ensure seamless project handovers to the Operations Team. Role Objectives ·Lead Generation (Industry databases, historical data, cold calling, CRM) ·Estimating (Using bespoke software and input from the operations team) ·Consultative Sales ·Contract conditions negotiation ·Teamwork with Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance and HR Role Requirements Essential Qualifications & Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interactions. Attention to detail, persistence, sales ability, a great leader and Manager. Experience in Fenestration not essential, experience in Construction would be an advantage. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently. Excellent planning and organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility to travel for client meetings and site surveys as needed. Desirable Qualifications & Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in a sales or estimating role. This role will be office based, in Dinnington, Sheffield, with limited travel to UK client sites. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm This is a senior position and will be well rewarded with salary and bonus, car or car allowance.
