The purpose of the Quality Systems Project Lead role is to support the day-to-day running of the Quality Management System, ensuring that processes and procedures are kept in line with the Safran Group requirements. This is a diverse and busy role within the business and one which will see you work and communicate with the entirety of the Safran workforce, from shop floor to Managing Director. Speaking with each business area, you will discuss their processes and challenges and then make a decision as to whether there is a "problem" and one that needs to be fixed. Working within the framework of AS9100, you will have a keen eye for detail and provide quality system expertise to the organisation for the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining and developing local procedures and forms within the document management system. Conducting internal audits and maintaining the internal audit program. Facilitating external audits from regulatory and certification bodies. Supporting company's operational teams with responses to audit findings, including facilitating root cause analysis investigations. Reviewing employee competency and issuing stamp authority. Liaising with Central QMS team and cascading policies and processes down to a local level. Identifying and implementing potential improvement projects. Complementary Description

What do you need from me? • Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems – preferably AS9100. • Experience working within a precision engineering or other highly regulated environment. • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). • Attention to detail.

It would be advantageous (but not essential) if candidates also had: • Knowledge of aviation regulations – specifically Part 21G.

Some travel may be required although this role will mostly be onsite in Gloucester. There is an annual seminar for 1 week, which is always held at a different Safran site - this could be UK or international.
