Role : Nurse in Charge / Sister – Urgent Care Location : Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK Shift Times : Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm (no nights, no weekends) Contract Type : Full-Time Permanent Salary : £49,181 - £54,645 (dependent on experience) As we prepare to open our brand-new Urgent Care Centre, we’re seeking an experienced A&E or Urgent Care Nurse in Charge / Sister to lead a dynamic team, delivering high-quality care in an innovative, state-of-the-art environment. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in every step of the development and launch of the center. Joining us now means you’ll play a pivotal role in the creation of this exciting new service at The Harborne Hospital, which has already built a strong reputation since opening over a year ago. The hospital is part of the HCA Healthcare UK family, a brand new £100 million, purpose-built facility with 50 beds, offering multi-specialty private healthcare, including Cardiology, Cancer, and Complex Surgery. It’s the perfect environment for a highly motivated nurse to thrive, innovate, and make an impact in patient care. You’ll work closely with experienced GPs and senior staff to manage triage, treatment, and admissions for a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and mentor our team of Senior Staff Nurses, driving the development of best practices and helping to shape the policies and procedures for the Urgent Care Centre, where the patient flow is focused on safety and patient experience. What You’ll Bring : Registered Adult Nurse (NMC) Post-qualification experience in Accident & Emergency or Urgent Care Essential experience in patient triage and basic procedures (e.g., blood draws, IV insertions) Leadership skills to motivate and engage nursing staff in a startup environment, helping to influence the department’s policies and procedures.
