Would you like to gain experience of working within Neo-Natal care with our support and training? If so, then we would like you to consider joining us as a Band 5 BANK nurse for ad hoc and temporary cover of shifts. Main duties of the job Neonatal Staff Nurse - Bank Walsall HealthCare NHS Trust is one of the busiest Units in the West Midlands. Our Maternity Unit here currently delivers over 3300 women per year. A position has arisen within our dedicated team for a Neonatal Nurse. We are a designated Local Neonatal Unit (LNU) within the busy West Midlands Neonatal operational Delivery Network and actively participate in Network groups and business. We are passionate about maintaining our high quality nursing care and would like to recruit high calibre, dynamic, motivated and compassionate nurses to join our team. Our Neonatal unit has 15 cots, which is comprised of 2 intensive cots, 2 high dependency cots and 11 special care cots. Designated LNU (Level 2), we provide excellent care for preterm babies from 28 weeks' gestation and for sick newborn babies. We provide stabilisation for babies born at lower gestations prior to transfer to NICU. About Us We are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our babies and their families. You will need to be RNC/RN qualified plus the commitment and enthusiasm for working within this field. You will be joining a team who work a variety of shifts including internal rotation to night duty. Opportunities exist for personal development and staff are supported to undertake additional training as required. You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team working within a centre of excellence for neonatal care. These are highly challenging and rewarding roles within our exciting service. Person Specification Qualifications Essential UK NMC Experience Essential Must have a working knowledge of their responsibilities in relation to clinical risk management. Knowledge Essential Must demonstrate a knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the post, clinical and non-clinical. Awareness of cost effective use of resources. Must have a working knowledge relating to Health and Safety.
