The eHospital training team is responsible for ensuring that all staff at our hospitals' (Addenbrooke's and the Rosie) receive appropriate training and support in the use of our electronic patient record held on Epic.

Our vision for the future is one where technology supports the everyday work of doctors, nurses, technicians, managers, and patients. To succeed, this vision must be supported by a programme of training which equips staff to make the best use of technology in caring for our patients.

As our vision develops, new opportunities arise and we are now looking to recruit an eHospital Trainer to join the team.

Main duties of the job Your role will include delivering training for new starters as well as supporting existing members of staff within our trust. As Epic continues to evolve and change, you will be working closely with the eHospital Principal Trainers as they update and customise the training required based on system developments and clinical workflow impacts. You will receive training and support to learn the aspects of the EPIC system which you will become proficient at training.

You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to engage and influence people at all levels, and demonstrate a passion for education, teaching, and learning.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential

A levels/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.

Desirable

Degree or equivalent. Microsoft Training qualification. IITT TAP Accreditation. Other Training Qualification ITIL V3 Foundation EPIC. Credentialed in - PAS ADT/PAS Cadence/Nurse/Doctor.

Experience Essential

Experience of delivering Training to individuals and groups. Assessing delegate competence. Experience of design and development of training packages and associated. Mentoring in the workplace. Team working.

Desirable

Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.

Knowledge Essential

High level of computer literacy in MS applications. In-depth understanding of how to develop and design training programmes. Best practice training delivery techniques/methodologies. Knowledge of EPIC PAS/Clinical Systems General NHS working practices.

Desirable

Hospital IT systems. Medical Terminology.

Skills Essential

Highly motivated, able to organise and prioritise own workload and work to deadlines with minimum of supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with a diverse group of delegates. Proficient in MS Office. Ability to learn new systems and applications. Ability to train and coach staff in the effective and efficient use of relevant IT systems. Able to work as part of a team. Methodical and pays attention to detail. Ability to adapt to change.

Additional Requirements Essential

The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors, and colleagues according to the Trust values of kind, safe, and excellent. Takes pride in delivering high-quality services and suggests ways to improve working practices.
