About the Role:

Working within the Facilities team you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of an advanced micro technology production facility. The right candidate must be flexible, adaptable and take a pro-active approach ensuring optimum support to the facility and its day-to-day demands.

Reporting directly to the HS&E and Facilities Manager, this role will work alongside the Lead Site Services Engineer to perform routine and reactive site maintenance as well as planning and conducting new installations in line with all relevant health and safety legislation.

Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day routine maintenance and inspection of site electrical systems, air conditioning systems, extraction systems, compressors, vacuum pumps, cooling water systems, nitrogen plant etc. Organise and liaise with external contractors (i.e. electricians, plumbers, builders and other tradespeople). Work with the Site Services Manager to plan and execute receipt and installation of equipment. Assist Site Services Manager in planning and prioritisation of tasks for site maintenance group in conjunction with Production Engineering and Senior Management groups.

Key Experience & Skills:

Electrical fault finding and fault rectification. Electrical system installation. Electrical & Mechanical plant fault finding and part replacements. Knowledge of motors. Practical knowledge and experience of air conditioning systems. Experience in Operations & Maintenance.

Desired Skills:

Understanding and practical knowledge of pressure systems i.e. compressed air, nitrogen & vacuum systems. Forklift truck licence. Environmental issues (WEEE & Waste Control Regulations). PAT Testing. ISO45001 (OHS) and ISO14001 (EM) familiarisation. Note: training course and time to attend will be provided where the right candidate identifies a need for it.

Competencies:

Flexible in approach to work with availability to attend callouts outside of normal working hours, available to work and plan maintenance during company shutdowns. Ability to respond quickly and calmly to situations arising from adverse weather conditions and other causes while working well under pressure. Willingness to learn and develop.

Other Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required to other SCL sites. SC clearance or ability to obtain.
