We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Respite Support Worker to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who require support while enjoying a rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality respite care and support for individuals in a person-centred way. Work as part of a team to deliver day-to-day care, promoting independence and well-being. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and assist in the training and development of new team members. Ensure compliance with care plans and safeguarding policies. Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for service users. Participate in a rota system that includes day shifts, afternoon shifts, and sleep-ins.
What We're Looking For: Experience in care or support work, ideally within a respite or similar setting. A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you care for. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and sleep-ins. Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and mentor junior staff.
What We Offer: Competitive starting salary of £25,969.00 per annum. 8.5% all-inclusive allowance. £40.27 paid for each sleep-in shift. A permanent, full-time position with 37 hours per week. A supportive and friendly work environment with opportunities for training and career progression.
