Location: Southampton Pay Rate: £12 -£14 per hour Hours : 20 hours weekly Job Type: Temporary or Permanent About Us Care Managers Ltd is a leading provider of domiciliary and supported living services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in need. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with extensive experience and knowledge in mental health to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individuals with mental health needs. Promote independence and well-being by encouraging individuals to achieve personal goals. Implement care plans and support individuals in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement. Monitor mental health conditions and report any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals. Support individuals in managing medications and appointments as per their care plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care and support provided. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. Requirements Proven experience in working with individuals with mental health needs. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, interventions, and care approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with clients and their families. Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to care. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 desirable). Mental Health training or certification is a plus. Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not mandatory). Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). What We Offer Competitive pay rate.
