Superviseur Technique Layout (FEAT)

Nous visons à rivaliser avec les meilleurs du secteur, et notre Superviseur Technique Layout joue un rôle clé dans la réussite de l'équipe.
Dans ce rôle, vous travaillerez directement avec les équipes et superviseurs de plusieurs projets pour résoudre des problèmes techniques, soutenir et développer les outils et techniques du département Layout pour les projets FEAT actuels et améliorer les capacités du studio dans ce domaine.
Relevant du HOGC (Head of CG) pour l'animation long métrage et en collaboration avec le HOD (Head of Department) Layout, vous dirigerez le développement des outils du département Layout, définirez les priorités de développement et collaborerez avec les développeurs pipeline sur la création d'outils, les tests et les mises à jour techniques du département.
Vous fournirez des mises à jour régulières à l'équipe, au HOGC et aux autres superviseurs techniques lors de réunions et présentations, et participerez à l'élaboration de propositions pour de nouveaux workflows destinés à être approuvés par la direction du HOGC.
Vous serez capable d'identifier, diagnostiquer et résoudre les problèmes techniques tout au long du processus de production, aidant ainsi l'équipe Layout à atteindre ses objectifs artistiques et de production. En étroite collaboration avec les superviseurs de département, les superviseurs VFX et l'équipe pipeline, vous contribuerez à l'intégration et au maintien du pipeline, agissant comme point de contact pour l'équipe Layout.
Compétences essentielles :
5+ années d'expérience pratique sur des productions d'animation long métrage Expérience en tant que Lead ou Superviseur Layout (Rough ou Final) sur au moins deux productions d'animation long métrage Connaissance approfondie du pipeline d'animation long métrage pour les assets et les plans Maîtrise experte de Maya Expérience avec Unreal Engine Connaissance approfondie de l'USD pour les pipelines d'animation Expérience des flux de travail techniques et outils, avec la capacité de traduire la vision du HOD en exigences techniques Sens du détail, bonne perception du timing et compréhension approfondie des techniques de simulation physique en infographie Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes techniques et créatifs Compréhension globale du pipeline et des logiciels d'animation long métrage Connaissance des technologies et pipelines de rendu physique moderne (Katana, Houdini Solaris) Serait un plus :

Key Purpose of the Job: DNEG Feature Animation has been growing over the past couple of years, bringing in the best talent to work on our shows. We aim to compete with the best in the business, and our Layout Technical Supervisor plays an important part in driving the team to success.
In this role, you will work directly with multiple show crews and supervisors to solve technical issues, support and develop the layout department tools and techniques for current FEAT projects, and advance the studio's layout capabilities.
Reporting to the HOGC for feature animation and partnering with the Layout HOD, you will drive the tool development for the layout department, define development priorities, and partner with pipeline developers for tool creation, testing plans, and technical updates.
You will provide regular updates to the team, HOGC, and fellow technical supervisors on current issues and developments during meetings and presentations. You will also contribute to pipeline development pitches for new workflows, seeking approval from the HOGC and leadership team.
You will be able to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues throughout the production process, helping the layout team achieve artistic and production goals. Working closely with the Department Supervisors, VFX Supervisors, and Pipeline team, you will assist in integrating and maintaining the pipeline while acting as the main point of contact for the layout department teams.
Must Have:
5+ years of hands-on production experience in feature animation Lead or Supervisor experience in Final or Rough Layout on two or more feature animation productions Proven knowledge of the feature animation pipeline for assets and shots Expert-level knowledge of Maya Experience with Unreal Engine In-depth knowledge of USD for animation pipelines Technical workflow and tool experience, with the ability to translate HOD vision into technical requirements Strong attention to detail, sense of timing, and understanding of physical simulation techniques in computer graphics Excellent technical and creative problem-solving skills Solid understanding of the feature animation pipeline and software Knowledge of modern physically based rendering technologies and pipelines (Katana, Houdini Solaris) Nice to Have:
Python scripting experience Experience using or developing USD workflows in a production environment Exceptional communication skills with both technical and artistic teams Ability to rapidly prototype and deliver quick solutions Previous experience working in a fast-paced creative technology environment About You:
