Medical Laboratory Scientist , you will be responsible for performing a range of duties related to pre transfusion, antenatal and diagnostic testing and the issue of blood and blood products for clinical purposes. You will be joining a well-established team of Scientists and Technicians committed to quality service, high standards and patient wellbeing. Your base salary will be between $71,070 and $107,600 depending on skills, experience and registration. About you To be successful in this role, you must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand or a new graduate seeking provisional registration. You will have a positive attitude, be committed to patient care and have the flexibility to fully participate in our 24-hour, 7-day roster. The ability to multi-task, work collaboratively and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment is essential in this role and key to your success as part of this high performing team. We are looking for someone who has/is: Experience working in a Blood bank or on 4th year placement within a blood bank would be preferred, but not essential Flexibility to fully participate in our 24-hour, 7-day per week roster Effective interpersonal and communication skills Self-motivated Ability to take responsibility About New Zealand Blood and Organ Service New Zealand Blood and Organ Service (NZBS) is dedicated to saving lives.
