About the Role Working closely with the Tax Manager and the personal tax team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of tax returns, P11d’s, Income & Expenditure accounts, and rental accounts. You should have a keen interest in tax, alongside previous experience working within a tax or accountancy role. A professional qualification such as the ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA is required for this position; however, part-qualified status will also be considered. Responsibilities will include: Preparation of self-assessment Tax Returns and calculating tax liabilities. Preparation of forms P11d’s. Preparation of Income and Expenditure accounts and rental accounts. Liaising directly with clients as required. Assisting the Tax Manager on matters such as HMRC investigations and one-off assignments such as capital allowance reviews. Liaising with HMRC in respect of various client matters. Liaising with external parties including solicitors, other accountants, and IFAs. Future tax planning for high net-worth individuals. The role will have a focus on compliance and advisory. About you You will be studying or qualified in any of ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA and will have at least three years’ experience in a Personal or Mixed/OMB tax-focused role. Importantly, you will be a confident, ambitious character who is driven to learn and progress in a career in tax practice. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude to problem solving.
