Job Purpose: As a Technical Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver, support, and manage complex systems, ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded throughout the systems delivery and lifecycle. The role will include working in some of the UK’s most prestigious sites and will vary from bringing new systems online to keeping existing systems operational, while continually identifying ways in which they can be improved from both the customer’s and Esotec’s perspective. The Technical Engineer will also ensure that the relevant project-related paperwork is created to achieve a smooth handover to other team members and ensure the creation of timely and accurate project O&M information. As a Technical Engineer, you are expected to provide support and training to other team members. Capabilities: Reliable and able to work unsupervised Ability to lead and supervise a team, working as part of a technical callout team Ability to pass on knowledge to other members of the team Self-motivated and enthusiastic; able to work in an autonomous manner Have a clear focus on high quality while working in a team environment Professional manner and approach at all times Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers IT literate, with experience in drawing packages Experience in enterprise system integration including Genetec, Gallagher, and ISM Genesys platforms preferred Experience with Cisco layer 2/3 networking is an advantage Full UK driving licence Comfortable with travelling and spending time away from home Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Work closely with customers and project management teams, both internal and external, in developing requirements and solutions Lead by example and be capable of directing a project team Support system installation and maintenance tasks Deliver solutions as specified to meet or exceed customer expectations Commission new installations to customer satisfaction and sign-off Train other service and maintenance staff Complete project and service-related paperwork to meet business requirements and timescales Comply with company procedures and H&S policies Skills and Knowledge Required: Dedicated to the provision of excellent customer service Ambitious and results-driven – capable of influencing key performance indicators Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers Self-motivated and enthusiastic, comfortable and able to work in an autonomous manner Professional manner and approach at all times Ability to build strong relationships and influence others, peers, and customers alike Takes full accountability for performance and development To be cleared to SC level minimum and to maintain the clearance level Ability to learn new systems and products
