Location: Slough + Hybrid Salary: £61,000-£71,000 + Bonus + Benefits You will be working with the UK Financial Reporting Manager to prepare Mars UK and Ireland statutory reporting and manage the audit ensuring that director’s fiduciary duties to prepare audited financial statements are met. You will manage the group’s Senior Accounting Officer Compliance and Controls process. What are we looking for?
Fully qualified accounting qualification. Working knowledge of accounting systems, ideally SAP. Knowledge of UK tax compliance obligations for corporation tax, VAT and employment taxes. Recent experience in implementing controls testing and documentation (e.g. internal audit or financial audit). In the first 12 months we would like you to have developed a good understanding of Mars UK accounting and controls processes while developing your Mars network. What will be your key responsibilities?
Prepare UK Legal entities' Financial Statements under UK GAAP, based on US GAAP management accounts and financial records, including multicurrency consolidation of UK Group's subsidiaries. Coordinate with PwC, Mars Service Centres, Financial Controllers, and business units to ensure timely and accurate financial data for statement preparation. Manage Senior Accounting Officer compliance for all UK entities, ensuring accurate controls documentation, evaluating control processes, and recommending improvements. Collaborate with business units and Mars Global Financial Services to implement changes, reporting to the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) on legislation compliance. What can you expect from Mars?
