Head of Spa and Leisure Reports to: General Manager Responsible for: Spa and Leisure team Location: Aldwark Manor Estate, Aldwark, Nr. Set in 185 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings. Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas. This year we will complete our new and opulent spa and state-of-the-art leisure areas as well as our new conference centre and additional 24 bedrooms. Purpose of the role: To oversee the delivery of high quality service in the spa, including customer service, cleanliness, staffing, health & safety and the delivery of our spa brand. To produce business and local marketing plans within agreed timescales. To be highly organised and IT literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have experience of managing a successful spa facility alongside professional Management and Health and Beauty qualifications. To be able to run the business aspects of a spa environment such as stock control, promotion, sales, staff development and customer services whilst achieving business, financial and sales targets. Control the costs: payroll, cost of sales within the agreed targets. Main duties include: Offer advice to customers on the range of treatments and products available, and home care routines, taking every opportunity to upsell. Ensure all spa, health club, and wellness equipment is maintained in good working order at all times. Assist with special promotions, as required, taking every opportunity to upsell. Maintain all relaxation and treatment rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with Company standards and to comply with statutory legislation. Support all members of the Team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene and Health & Safety. To deal with all customer and guest comments or complaints. To ensure that all potential sales opportunities are maximised. To adhere to any Company sales initiatives and to increase sales opportunities. To train and coach colleagues.
