Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a well-established and successful business based in Norwich to recruit an experienced Head of Finance. This company prides themselves on exceeding customer expectations and have been doing so for over 100 years.

Your new role The main function of this role will be to oversee the daily finance function and support senior leadership with critical MI for commercial decision-making. The key responsibilities of the role will include:

Manage the transactional finance function of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control Prepare and present monthly management accounts to present to Directors Ensure payment runs are completed accurately and efficiently Support and develop a team of 2 finance staff Oversee monthly payroll submissions Manage the cash flow and forecasting Provide daily KPI reports for managers Financial accounts preparation and audit support Complete annual financial statements, tax returns and compliance requirements Oversee the annual insurance renewal process

This is a full-time office-based role in Norwich, working 8AM-5PM, Monday to Friday, but there is some flexibility for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed You will have a proven track record of financial leadership and ownership of daily financial processes. Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant, but this is not essential. You will have strong communication skills and be able to work with management and senior leadership to support and advise on commercial decision-making. You will have good IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Excel. Experience using Kerridge would be advantageous.
