Warehouse First Line Manager

to join our team on our Sainsbury’s contract in Emerald Park, Bristol on a

12 month fixed term contract . As a First Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading your own team, helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Tuesday to Saturday, 14:00 – 22:00. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to

£35,102.14 per annum

and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day: Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs. Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance. Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement. Lead the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement, and ensure good communication across the operation. Manage the warehouse training requirement and function. What you need to succeed at GXO: Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation). The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills. Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.
