We have a vacancy for a Biomedical Scientist Band 6 in Biochemistry with a desire to work as part of one of the largest NHS-led Pathology Services in the South of England.
We are specifically looking for an experienced candidate to support our 24/7 shift system.
Applicants MUST have HCPC registration and relevant NHS laboratory experience.

Main duties of the job
DIMENSIONS OF JOB:
They will liaise closely with the line manager in providing a high quality technical service that builds on the standards defined by the UKAS and ISO 15189:2022. They will be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all grades of staff both technical and medical to ensure the effective delivery of the technical service.
You will work in rotation within all sections of the Biochemistry laboratory. The laboratory is well equipped with Abbott's Alinity ci analysers, TOSOH G11 Kryptor Compact Plus, Uvikon XL Spectrophotometer, Cobas e411 and OsmoPro Multi-Sample Micro-Osmometer.
We are in the transition to implement GLP track system.

To train, supervise and aid in the development of other BMS grades, trainee BMS and support workers, and direct their duties as requested by senior staff. To participate in job experience and recruiting schemes by representing the Trust, Department and Profession at and within these events.
