Churchill Howard are recruiting for a Financial Accountant within a leading Financial Services business based in Birmingham. This highly successful and progressive organisation has recently been through a period of positive change, and is looking for ambitious and intelligent fully qualified accountants to join them in their journey. This is a varied role bringing together different areas of the business and managing multiple stakeholder relationships, with a view to add value in both the short and long term.
Responsibilities include:
Co-operating with different stakeholders to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures Preparing statutory accounts at year end including assisting with the annual audit process Supporting with the development of models and providing commentary on analysis Preparing journals for Group entities Understanding control procedures and preparing monthly reconciliations Drive improvements in the efficiency of process and systems within the finance department Giving technical accounting advice on IFRS standards (IFRS 9) to different business stakeholders Adhoc project work on request
You will be:
A Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) with strong technical knowledge (In particular IFRS 9) An excellent communicator across all levels A team player Able to deliver highly accurate results within tight time frames Able to adapt to different requirements within a complex business
