Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Umbraco Web Developer to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us in a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,600 to £64,400 per annum. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To lead on the back-end design and development of Human Appeal’s website using Umbraco (version 10), including: Development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database. Ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front and back-end teams, responsible for creating quality, manageable, high performing code. Collaborating with the Communications and Systems and Development Teams on impact assessments, cross functional workshops and decision-making in relation to technology choices, design considerations, user experience and strategy implementation to address the business’s needs. Improving the user journey and experience on Human Appeal’s website in order to acquire, convert and retain supporters. Benefits:

Proficient in Umbraco (version 10 or above) with previous experience of developing solutions on the Umbraco platform, including build and maintenance using Umbraco CMS. Full stack development experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in back-end technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web API), as well as strong knowledge of front-end (HTML/CSS and JS). Background in web development and familiarity with the full lifecycle of a web project, from technical planning to front-end and back-end development. Experience with all parts of Umbraco, including routing, custom property editors, content finders, and URL providers, as well as implementing responsive web templates into Umbraco. Experience in refactoring and optimization of code for performance; implementing business process automation; structured testing and quality assurance approaches; and delivering projects involving in-house resources and third-party suppliers. Passionate about international development work and humanitarian aid.
