Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Key Accountabilities: Install, test, analyse, troubleshoot and modify new equipment/solutions to achieve maximum performance and availability. Provide technical knowledge to the development and deployment of service infrastructure, driving improved technical and service performance. Design and drive processes to facilitate smooth and seamless deployment of new services. Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that delivery specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements. Standardise equipment to minimise disruption and achieve straightforward integration with existing networks/infrastructure. Document engineering build procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures. Apply standard procedures to solve problems and identify appropriate resolution. Adopt the role of Design Authority (DA) in area of expertise to ensure the delivery of the end-to-end customer solution and for less complex projects Lead Design Authority (LDA). Drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set. Bring a commercial perspective to the operation, with a particular focus on cash management, cash preservation and optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools. Required Expertise: Working knowledge of the design, development and testing of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application depending on technical area of expertise. Experience with processes, standards and engineering practices related to monitoring and controlling (M&C). Some experience of networking principles. Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s): Strong knowledge of technologies involved in Networking and Security. (SDH, IP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, PSDN Lines, Optical Transport, Broadcast Communications Standards (ASI/SDI), Cisco certification). Why join Arqiva?
