We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior or Mid Weight Interior Designer to join our team. As a Designer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design process, collaborating with senior designers, and contributing to the success of our projects. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a creative and dynamic environment. Sustainability and wellbeing are focal points within our design process and you should be motivated to bring these elements to every project you work on. What are we looking for in you? A Creative thinker You must demonstrate that you can work collaboratively with all members of the Layrd team A degree in Interior Design or Architecture A good understanding of the build process and the trade roles involved. You must be comfortable conducting site visits and surveys You will report to the Lead Designer but will be expected to demonstrate initiative. You must be a competent organiser being able to manage your own workload and workflow Assist senior designers in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for client meetings. Collaborate on space planning and layout designs for various projects. Select and source materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that align with project requirements and client preferences. Create 2D and 3D design renderings and drawings to communicate design intent. Participate in on-site visits to assess project progress and ensure design implementation meets quality standards. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and design innovations to bring fresh ideas to the team. Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members, clients, and vendors.
