We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator with the skills to keep Brimham Rocks in amazing condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love the place. This position is covering a short term vacancy in the team. Your normal working pattern will be Sunday - Thursday. Internally you'll be known as a Facilities Co-ordinator. Brimham Rocks is part of a portfolio with Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, sharing a General Manager. Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you'll supervise two part-time Facilities Co-ordinators based at Brimham Rocks. You'll work closely with the Regional Building Surveyor and there will be training and development opportunities within the regional facilities network. There is a small core staff team at Brimham which increases to 25 including seasonal welcome and F&B team members, and over 40 volunteers that help with a variety of tasks including countryside conservation work and bookshop volunteering. Brimham Rocks is a popular tourist destination, welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year, mainly in spring and summer. Providing a fantastic visitor experience and ensuring nature thrives, together with a love of the great outdoors, is what makes the team tick here at this busy countryside property. What you'll be doing

As the Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll be making sure that Brimham Rocks operates as it should, by running an efficient, effective and flexible facilities service. You’ll help the property team to meet their goals by keeping standards high. You'll be responsible for ensuring the site meets many of its compliance and operational risk management requirements. This will include responsibility for Health & Safety, fire safety, and security. You'll use IT systems to monitor, record and plan maintenance work. You'll work closely with the regional Building Surveyor to help deliver projects. You'll manage a delegated budget. You’ll assist with maintenance and repairs (reactive, as well as planned and preventative), cleaning and caretaking, the presentation of public areas and visitor facilities (including car parks and grounds), and co-ordinating deliveries and collections. You will be part of a team of duty managers for the site (covering a rota). You'll be responsible for the smooth running and presentation of the site during opening hours, acting as a main point of contact for staff, volunteers, and customers in case of emergency, enquiry, or complaint. You'll be the key decision maker on the day and will be responsible for unlocking and locking the site. At busy times, you will need to help provide lunch cover for other departments.
