Main Purpose of Role Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation (GDHV) is a Division of the Glen Dimplex Group, a world leader in intelligent electric heating and renewable energy solutions, as well as holding significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling and ventilation. GDHV is dedicated in the design, development and manufacture of sustainable, efficient and desirable heating and ventilation products and systems throughout and around buildings to provide comfort for everyone. The Category Manager will lead the development, execution and ongoing management of effective procurement strategies for the specific material group spend categories with regards to service performance, quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, governance and risk management. Key Accountabilities

Perform category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management. Implement category or material group strategies to optimise business efficiency that will drive savings on total cost of supply, lead times and working capital. Implement robust commercial and contractual terms to support the control of the Division’s expenditure and delivery performance from suppliers within the relevant categories. Identify and select strategic supply partnerships and drive closer collaboration with these partners to improve supply chain performance. Support the Division’s sustainability goals by ensuring supply chain compliance to ethical sourcing standards. Examine Divisional spend and identify opportunities to drive greater competitiveness within the supply base to achieve greater value for the Division. Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with suppliers. Regularly review supplier performance to drive Procurement related KPIs such as Material Price variance, Value improvement and Supplier Delivery Performance. Act as Escalation Level 2 with suppliers in support of the Material Planning team to address supplier issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery. Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide savings and process efficiencies for the organisation. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors and product innovations. Use SAP and its tools to drive enhanced reporting resulting in better decision making. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential Criteria Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and/or deep experience (10+ years) in Procurement related activities. Skilled in project management and negotiation, as well as cost and price analysis. Ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data. An analytical mind with strategic ability. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong business acumen for effectively managing costs. Self-managing and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proven knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Office. Working Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana or equivalent. Previous experience in category management. CIPS qualification or equivalent. Travel You will be required to travel to Glen Dimplex plants and suppliers as required.
