Our Client is a large Investment Management company that invests on behalf of private clients and works closely with IFA firms. They are an entrepreneurial firm with exciting growth prospects who run a successful Investment Platform. The Role: The Head of Investment Platform Services is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the Platform Services team that supports the Investment Management company's platform clients. The Platform Services team supports Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers, and direct clients in utilizing the Investment Platform Service with the Retail Investment Products. It is essential in this role that FCA Consumer Duty principles are followed. The Head of Investment Platform Services will manage the day-to-day running of the Platform Service Management team – creating the team rota, training & development plan, appraisals, and acting as a point of escalation for the Platform Service Management Team. Responsible for the monitoring and delivery of the Service Key Indicators and delivery of service excellence to the Investment Management platform users. The Head of Platform Service will define and execute a strategy in order to deliver great consumer outcomes, including for customers who may have vulnerable characteristics. Building a knowledge hub to enable accurate and timely responses to queries. The Head of Platform Services will lead the team in undertaking testing of the Investment platform for new releases and make recommendations for improvements to the process. Ensure test scripts are maintained and kept up to date. Make recommendations for changes and improvements to the platform, including exploring new technology (such as AI) to support our service excellence goal. The Head of Platform Service will ensure the team understands any system and/or process changes and can successfully deploy new functionality to our users. The Head of Platform Service will liaise with the Operations team to ensure full communication and understanding, minimizing errors and maximizing service levels. The Candidate: Previous Team Management and leadership experience is essential – working with Investment Platform/Retail Investment products. Assertive and methodical, able to motivate and problem-solve. Knowledge of the UK platform market, including the regulatory environment – Consumer Duty knowledge and understanding is essential. Knowledge of platform administration, including tax wrappers. Knowledge of Pershing systems - beneficial. Experience of retail investments and investment management (including operational knowledge) would be advantageous. Understanding of the advice process and advisory market in the UK.
