Overview: The Controls System Engineer / Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer (Robotics and PLC specialist) will be responsible for delivering engineering work packages contributing to successful project delivery and to successfully design and program control systems. The Controls Engineer will report directly to the Managing Director and must be commutable to their site in Norwich.

Package: £40,000 - £50,000 Working away uplift Pension scheme Holidays: 25 days (Plus Bank Holidays)

Role Responsibilities: Deal with Electrical / controls concept design including Functional Design Specification, safety Requirements specification, etc. Develop, install and commission high level PLC, servo, and HMI software including robotics. Hand over to the Hardware design team and review designs produced. Deal with configuration deliverables for PLC / HMI / SCADA / Robot / Drives / BMS, etc. Complete Factory Acceptance Testing, Commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing. Produce, install and commission PLC and servo motion code to suit machine specifications. Produce, install and commission Robot control code to suit machine specifications. Produce, install and commission HMI code to suit machine specifications.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum HND / Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics. Minimum of 5 years in a similar role. Working knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLCs. A good understanding of control system design and implementation principles. Willingness to work from the Norwich site, with regular international travel.
