CNN’s Breaking/Live News Team is seeking a London-based Breaking News Editor to help steer the world’s biggest, most engaging stories — from major weather disasters, notable trials and US elections to the Oscars, the Olympics and other cultural moments. The successful candidate will share our insatiable appetite for breaking news and chasing fast-moving stories, while helping to shape our coverage and identify priorities of the day in real time across multiple time zones.

Working as part of a diverse global team of editors and writers, the Breaking News Editor will serve as a vital bridge in CNN’s 24/7 live news operation, picking up each day from teams in Hong Kong, before supporting teams in the US. You will be charged with the news agenda during your hours: If something breaks during that time, you will help determine how to respond.
